Forged Stair and Balcony Railings
These D&S Iron Works project photos show how branch-like steel balusters carry a consistent design from an angled stair section to the railing around an upper landing. The dark ironwork sits alongside substantial wood posts and stair treads.
A Closer Look at the Steelwork
The balusters have irregular curves and a textured surface, giving the railing an organic pattern. Straight top and bottom rails frame the individual pieces. In the installed view, that pattern repeats across the stairs and upper landing.
The Railing Section in the Shop
The shop photo shows an angled section laid out on a fabrication table. It gives a clearer view of the individual balusters and their connection to the surrounding frame before the section is installed.
